According to research by Cisco, the networking firm, employees want better communication tools and online collaboration technologies. 66% of respondents in the research study said that their workplaces require more advanced technologies. Only 45% felt that existing communication technologies were sufficient. It was clear that employees were interested in tools that help them collaborate online and these would be especially helpful when working from home or when coordinating between offices in different locations. Decision making can be sped up by investing in technologies such as video conferencing and using the web to make quicker and efficient decisions.
