As more and more employers and workers come to realize the many benefits of working from home, York shows an interesting trend. More than one third of the workers at York prefer to work from home. According to research conducted by TNS Research and commissioned by Self Storage Association, 39% of employees in the city have chosen home working. They list the internet to be their most powerful tool. This is followed by the telephone. It is vital of home workers to be able to communicate with their office efficiently. Working from home brings down the cost and time involved in travelling, and also helps increase productivity.
