An interesting trend is seen to emerge, with a lot of older people choosing to start new ventures post retirement. A survey by Friends Provident indicates that 51% of people in UK hope to work past their retirement age. Entrepreneurs usually start with an interest or a hobby and then are seen to start a related business. eBay is especially popular with such budding entrepreneurs. One of the biggest advantages for seniors who have turned entrepreneurs is their vast experience and the ability to tackle business decisions with a clear head. The survey also revealed that 77% of Britons would like to stay at home after they retire. They don’t want to depend on equity or in downsizing their home.
