With the drastic cuts amounting to £81 billion in the public sector, workers who have jobs are grateful for them. The recession and increased redundancy has shown employees that grass is not always greener on the other side. Most employees are just happy because they have jobs to go to every day. According to a Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) survey, employee happiness with their work has gone up +36 to +46 in the last three months. Experts recommend that public sector managers work on their people management skills and involve workers in changes that may be proposed.
