The small business sector has had a difficult year. The snow and ice of the last few days has put a dampener on festive spirits. The Federation of Small Businesses hopes that the government, banks and other institutions will lend a helping hand. In the last few days business hasn’t been as good as entrepreneurs had expected. This is especially true for shops and restaurants. It is hoped that SMEs will be given some leeway and support. The FSB also hopes that the Time to Pay scheme of the HM Revenue & Customs will be extended and provide some much needed respite.
