Post recession workers in UK are experiencing discontent and dejection. They have to deal with pay freeze and heavy workloads and have had quite enough of the situation. During the recession, workers dealt efficiently with pay freeze and more work, and were known to offer tips on how to increase business productivity. Now, workers are more vocal about their discontent and it is common for them to voice their opinions with colleagues. In the long run this affects employee morale and productivity. According to research by Badenoch & Clark, specialist recruiter, less than half of the country’s workforce is happy with their jobs. Last year this percentage was as high as 78%.
