About our founder

Nick, the founder of Tekhoi.com has been involved with developing websites for many household names since the mid 1990's when the web was just starting and very few corporates had their own website designed.

Nick's first role within the internet services industry was with Conde Nast Online (UK), magazine publisher of global brands including Vogue, GQ, Tatler, Vanity Fair. At the time the first site had just been launched for GQ, it was a further 2 years before the decision was made to design a website for the primary brand Vogue.

In these early days of the web Conde Nast Online acted as a web design agency to many of their partners, many of these are household names. Examples include Debenhams, Top Shop, Top Man, British Airways, Estee Lauder, Harrods and many more. Nick was responsible for the web design and web development for these and similar companies.

Nick grew with the organisation at Conde Nast and was appointed to the role of Technical Director leading the technology for all the Conde Nast Online UK websites.

At the height of the dotcom boom Nick was finding him self being approached on a daily basis with offers of opportunities, these were resisted for a long time but eventually came the time for a new challenge and Nick took on the role of Chief Technology Officer with a startup business called HotProperty.co.uk

Starting from scratch and with impossible deadlines Nick set about building the IT infastructure for this new business and then creating the bespoke software and website to enable the business to start trading.

Over a 9 year period including the darkest days of the internet after the dotcom crash HotProperty.co.uk built up to become the 6th biggest property portal website in the uk.

The owners of the business then decided it was time to exit and sold the business during a time of consoladation in the propert portal arena.

Nick has now established Tekhoi.com as a web design agency in the Essex area providing all types of business with consultancy and great website design and development.
